The Speedo Commando

Swimmers look on as Hizbullah Rockets Hit Haifa YNET, Oren Yehuda

This is definitely the saddest day so far in this war. At least 8 people just lost their lives. I couldn't help smiling though when I saw this picture. A bunch of speedo-wearing Israeli swimmers look on as rockets fall in the background.
I'm a little concerned by the fact that the radio stations are being rather indiscreet about reporting where the rockets are falling. Hizbullah is definitely listening in to Israeli radio. Hopefully, this won't help them improve their aim.

IDF spokesperson just asked the TV stations NOT to report the locations of the hits. The problem is that the residents of the affected cities need to be informed of what's going on. If there are no responsible media reporting, the rumors will spread and people will panic.

They are aiming at smaller targets that just Haifa? They care about hitting this target and not hitting that one? (Pausing to think...) Oh yes, they'd prefer a hospital to a take out. Of course, greater military value in a hospital. Such men!

No, but the sight of some of those men in speedos might make them go blind, so perhaps it's worth a shot! :-)

Just found your blog, and I'll definitely be back...

I live in Texas, USA and am watching and listening to the developments and am realizing the personal impact on your lives. My sympathy and prayers to you who live in the area subjected to these cruel attacks on civilians. You are brave people. I am not Jewish...but I love freedom and democratic societies.
